The Ray Harryhausen Film Library made a few of the best action/adventure movie toys I've ever had the honor to hold. Years later a toyline was made,yes! The 50's movie, Jason and the Argonauts was a fantastic adventure film about a Greek hero named Jason. His land is in poverty so he gathers a crew(the Argonauts) to sale to the other side of the globe in search of the golden fleece. In his quest, Jason sails to an island where there a few monumental statues of the Titans. Among them, a kneeling statue of Talos is awoken and the fight begins... Now to the toy. Talos is made of metal and is kneeling on a large base. The whole thing is only about 4 inches tall, but that's really all it needs. Talos carries a sword and wears a Roman-like helmet. The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad produced one heck of a toyline. Although extremeley rare, these toys are really a group of top notch toys. The Minoton( Minotaur) is a golden statue that stands about 4 inches tall. He wears gold Roman- like armour. He also comes with a gold javelin.Now, there is not much eles to say about the Minoton due to lack of sharp detail. And because of that let me give you a little history lesson on the Cretan bull, known as the Minotaur. Once upon a time there was a sinful woman who did sinful things. Zues then cursed the woman to fall madly in love with a a bull. The woman, disguised as a bull mated with the bull and had a hideous hal-man, half-bull baby and thus the Miontaur was born. Something survived... And that something was the Bull Rex. Wow. Rexy over 24 inches(2 feet) long and is just plain massive! The big guy is blue-green with black stripes and some brown parts and a bleach-white underbelly. Rexy is in a striking/siezing pose and can sometimes be hard to stand up. He has 2 big neon green eyes with black pupils. The jaw is wide open with vanilla white teeth. Some of them are cracked(on purpose) to look like he's been chewin' on some hard bones. His feet are huge with enormous claws. Here is one of the best parts- rexy has got 3 different sound effects, which are roar, growl, and a bone crunching sound! Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark was one of the most successful films ever seen. Of course when you have a movie that grossed as much as this one did, you're going to need to make a toyline as cool, or even more than the movie itself. The Raiders of the Lost Ark toyline did just that. One perticular action figure, really caught my eye. The name? The Cairo Swordsmen. Thats right, the blade slinging Arab was made into a toy. This one is my personel favorite of this line. The Swordsmen is clad in black with a red cloth for a belt. He comes with 2 blades- a scimitar and a large knife. Dracula. Monster of Death. Prince of Darkness. King of Blood. Pack your crucifix, wooden steak, and your silver bullet-shootin' pistols, you're headed to Transylvania! Straight outta' Transylvania and the Van Helsing toyline comes the Dracula Monster. First off, the movie, a definite 5 stars. Now to the figure. The Dracula Monster is in a screaming/attacking pose,but you can put him in any pose you want. This guy has 15 points of articulation-4 in the arms, 2 in the legs, 2 in the wings, and 1 in that you can turn the head a full 360 degrees. The Monster has a mane of black hair down his neck. The Big Cheese. Wonder what I am talking about? Clan Leader Predator, of course! The Predator line really scored with this one. Predator is here, and he's out for revenge! What can I say about the clan leader? For one, he's so awesome looking. The Clan Leader has got a big nasty look on his face. He is blood red and has, well, what appears to be two vaccum suckers things bursting out of his face. Predator is in an attacking position with long, deadly claws. Lava Planet Predator

Predator. King of all unholy! This perticular toyline came out with a bang. I mean, really, who doesn't love Predator? The Lava Planet Predator is a blood- red beast of hell fire and damnation! He resembles predator from the movie, only a little different. Lava Predator is blood-red with no mask or armour, but c'mon, does he really need it??? I think not. This predator does reminisce on the Creature of the Black Lagoon, only on a much more evil scale. I love this one. It's cool, creative, and just plain bad( you know, in a good way.). O'Connell (Adventure)
Mummy (Toy Island) - Basic Series

Shame, shame, shame. I was pretty excited when the Mummy toyline first came out. My first Mummy figure was the O'Connell toy. I was not the least bit impressed. Althogh it does look the actor, there are no action features and the weapons are nothing special. Toy Island really did not put in too much effort into the whole line. He comes with duel pistoleros, that are a little too small compared to the figure, a stick of dynamite, and a belt with holsters. What I dislike most is that the guns don't go into a shoulder harness on Rick like in the film. Overall, its not too bad, but a blemish on the action figure society. Adios,ese....[See More]

After the huge success of the Jurassic Park film Kenner created the first JP toyline and it was great. Then came series 2, a line of jp toys much more creative and just plain cooler than the others. Upon these were the "Evil Raiders" series, and thus Dr. Snare was born. Wow! This guy is awesome. Lets start with his head. He is sportin' the rough and tough cowboy hat. Under the hat he's got blond hair that reaches his shoulders. Now to his face. Snare has blond eyebrows and an evil, crusty smile and his missing a tooth. The Dr. has got a buff body( I think he's on some serius steroids)with some giant, muscular arms. His shoulder width is sbout 3 inches.
