Red Hulk
Marvel Universe - Fury Files (Hasbro) - Wave 4
Rated 3.00 stars by Azrael
WOO Red Hulk, everyone's favorite (?) overpowered super jerk! This guy is the standard Hulk body with two fists and a new head. Instead of having the normal bicep and thigh balls, he has ball jointed knees and elbows like the X Men Origins: Wolverine figures (minus the hip balls). In terms of sculpting this guy is great, it looks just like him. The paint apps are equally good, with dry brushing throughout, even on the hair, how crazy is that? Speaking of the hair, it's a mix of blue and red similar to Venom's outlines in Spider Man the Animated Series. While this may sound stupid, it certainly looks good, I mean, if it didn't I would've never bought it. I think y favorite part of this figure is how it packs a PAUNCH! However, it loses two points for lack of posability, he looks stupid...[See More]
Spider-Carnage
Spider-Man (Toy Biz) - Venom - Along Came a Spider
Rated 4.50 stars by Azrael
Ah Spider-Carnage, a mix of a great villain and a great Spider-Man. This is by far one fo the coolest figures I've ever bought. He's mostly a display piece and can be aesthetically pleasing no matter where you put him. Place him in your closet to get a scare whenever you wake up and get dresed, or my favorite, put him on a window sil and when the light shines in, watch the translucent plastic work it's magic. At the risk of my dignity, this guy really SHINES THROUGH when it comes to toybiz figures. I've always loved the translucent plasitc bit, but so few people still use it. The way the red glows is a mix of beauty and horror as you stare at its gruesome face. The only reasaon I don't give this guy a solid 5 is because he's not big on articulation or posability, and I feel like I'll...[See More]
Joker
Dark Knight - Movie Masters (Mattel) - Series 1
Rated 2.50 stars by Azrael
Ugh. If I didn't need a movie Joker I would've never bought this. The face sculpt bears almost no resemblance to Heath Ledger. The articulation isn't all that and the number of poses you can pull off are slim to none. The look on his face is a bit too stoic and even his make up is way too different from the movie version. I'd be happy to take a knife to this figure and be all barga! I think the only decent thing about this figure is the paint. From the neck down anyway, I mean seriously, I went through 5 shelves of these guys and every one of them had a screwed up face. I honestly wished the matty collector Joker's look good enough to headswap because it's easy to see how this figure could go from hard to find scalper material to shelf warming harder than anything I've seen in the past...[See More]

Batman - Knight Force Ninjas (Kenner) - Basic Series
Rated 4.00 stars by Azrael
As an Azrael fan, I feel it's my duty to give this figure a review. This is Azrael's first figure as Azrael and not Batman, the only other fig of him as Azrael is from DC Superheroes/DC Universe Classics. Azrael stands at about 6 inches. He doesn't have much articulation other than the standard 5 points (and his torso spins with his action feature). His sculpt is pretty accurate with solid paint apps. The figure's style is reminiscent of Batman the Animated Series, but that may be intentional. His action feature is pretty good and doesn't hinder what articulation he has. His cape and cowl however are annoying as fugizzle. It's not too comic accurate (in terms of length or later design), and it's a one piece hard plastic cape, so it goes off center whenever you use his action feature. He...[See More]
Batman
DC Universe Classics (Mattel) - Wave 10
Rated 3.50 stars by Azrael
So I was lucky to snag this guy when DCUCs were at their scarcest. I was walking over by Walmart one day, and ebing the fan of Keatonman I am (lol rhyme) I just had to grab him. He looks rpetty good, the movie outfit with a comic face, good blend indeed. His bat laptop provides a good amount of loling, although it is surprisingly intricate and I find myself placing him on my computer desk, pretending he's blogging. The paint apps are solid, not a stray mark in sight (with all black and a symbol it'd be pretty embarassing if there was). The sculpt is nothing special however. But that's where the figure loses face with me. Other than the bat laptop (or battop, whatever) this guy isn't all that special. He even makes it hard for me to find cool poses for him to stand in (emphasis on cool)...[See More]
Doc Ock (with Tentacle Attack Action)
Spider-Man 2 - Movie (Toy Biz) - Series 3
Rated 4.50 stars by Azrael
Alright, I picked this guy up at a sale because I needed a place holder. Surprisingly enough, he's a great figure. The likeness is stunning, looks exactly like the actor whose name escaped me at the moment. Anyway, he has ML grade articulation and his bendable tentacles is are amazing, great for posing AND playing. My one complaint about this guy is that he's too heavy to be supported by his tentacles, which would be really fun to see. Other than that, this guy is a must have, probably my avorite Doc Ock figure to date, and I honestly doubt we'll see one nearly as good any time soon, especially because his comic outfit just looks downright ridiculous. So the bottom line is, if you see this guy, especially if he's cheap, I would do the smart thing and buy him. He's a fun figure with some...[See More]
