Soundwave (Cybertronian)
Transformers - Generations (Hasbro) - Deluxe Class
Rated 2.50 stars by somebody1
"Soundwave is one of the most sophisticated electronics and communications experts on cybertron. his body is heavily armored and shielded to protect the sensitive communications gear hidden within, where he stores every byte of information he collects. He is a living storehouse of secrets. No one trusts him, but everyone understands the data he holds could destroy them all." Back of package This is so far the weakest figure in the Generations line. He features his G1 weapons and head, and even an opening chest to hold the weapons, he by far lacks what made him a favorite of fans of the WFC game. Namely he doesn't have a 3rd mode that he has in the game that turns him into a radio like machine nor does he come with any of the "cassettes" he has in the game. Looking at him you wouldn't...[See More]
Megatron (Cybertronian)
Transformers - Generations (Hasbro) - Deluxe Class
Rated 4.50 stars by somebody1
"Megatron rebuilds himself continously. When the war first becan on cybertron he constantly applied new modifications to catch the Autobots unaware and under prepared. His spies are always on the lookout for new tech that will optimize his body into the perfect war machine. He is the bleeding edge of technology on Cybertron, and his enemies will pay the price for not keeping up." Back of package Looking a bit like the TFA Megatron's cybertron mode he is quite large and heavy for a deluxe figure. His cannon isn't attached so upon opening the box you have to struggle with that a bit to fit it onto the peg on his arm but once it is on there it isn't going to come off easily. The paint is good as are the joints although as with all megatron figures the cannon tends to throw off balance and...[See More]
Dirge
Transformers - Generations (Hasbro) - Deluxe Class
Rated 4.50 stars by somebody1
"there is a certain sub harmonic frequency that triggers the fear response in most living things across the galaxy. Dirge has used this frequency for centuries, turning his engines and his vocal processor to generate it. Fear accompanies him like a dark cloud, even his fellow Decepticons feel it. He enjoys the feeling of power he gets, watching other robots quaking in fear at his presence, or fleeing at the sound of his engines." Back of the package One of the two conehead jets to appear in the generations line so far. He features crisp paint, tight joints, and a very G1 robot form. The transformation is very basic as with most jet forms in the transformers universe. The main body appears to be the same basic body used in all of the Decepticon jets in this line and the older classics...[See More]
Skullgrin
Transformers - Generations (Hasbro) - Deluxe Class
Rated 3.50 stars by somebody1
"The ruthless, methodical, intelligence for which Skullgrin is known is only a front. Inside him rages teh spark of a mad beast, straining to break free. He rarely engages in combat, so afraid is he that the heat of battle will drive him into a frenzy from wich he'll never emerge. Though he is a Decepticon, he still fears the destruction of which he is capable." Back of package He is a repaint of Darkmount and features a new head sculpt and all the same problems of the original figure. The figure is a triple changer, a plus, which offers the half track (an oddly earth like vehicle for cybertron)as well as a base mode and the robot mode. Transforming him from vehicle to robot is easy but the transformation to base mode is difficult and never looks as good as it does in the instructions...[See More]
Darkmount
Transformers - Generations (Hasbro) - Deluxe Class
Rated 3.50 stars by somebody1
"Few robots achieve the same legendary status as Megatron, but darkmount is one. he is just as famous on cybertron as the impenetrable fortress that bears his name. from there, he ruled his small corner of the machine world with an iron fist, controlling his subjects with an equal measure of fear and pain. So terrible was his rule that even Megatron gave him a wide berth, and treated him with the respect due to an equal." - Back of package. That sums up Darkmount (straxus in the Marvel comics)in the transformer universe and the figure because he will punish you. The figure is a triple changer, a plus, which offers the half track (an oddly earth like vehicle for cybertron)as well as a base mode and the robot mode. Transforming him from vehicle to robot is easy but the transformation to...[See More]
Cliffjumper (War for Cybertron)
Transformers - Generations (Hasbro) - Deluxe Class
Rated 3.00 stars by somebody1
"Even before the war, cliffjumper was constantly spoiling for a fight. The Decepticons just gave him an excuse. he's been bending fenders and smashing heads for years now, and the fun never stops. Despite his short temper, he gets along well with the other autobots, who appreciate his eagerness to take the first shot in every battle." -Back of package. This is a very impressive looking figure until you try to transform him as he is a repaint of Bumblebee. The instructions are poorly done as is the final fit of the figure once in vehicle mode. Where as most of the figures in the line fit together with few gaps the parts of of this figure fit so poorly that there are gaps all over and I had the legs, the source of the problem, pop off repeatedly while trying to get them in just the right...[See More]
Bumblebee (Cybertronian)
Transformers - Generations (Hasbro) - Deluxe Class

This is a very impressive looking figure until you try to transform him. The instructions are poorly done as is the final fit of the figure once in vehicle mode. Where as most of the figures in the line fit together with few gaps the parts of of this figure fit so poorly that there are gaps all over and I had the legs, the source of the problem, pop off repeatedly while trying to get them in just the right position. Otherwise the figure is a great representation of the retro G1 style seen in the game with a very g1 style head sculpt and one of the few times you get a Bumblebee figure with weapons. In this case it is 2 energy blades and a generic looking handgun. The joints are right so there is no wobble and the the figure is pretty well balanced given the odd looking feet (looking a lot...[See More]
Blurr
Transformers - Generations (Hasbro) - Deluxe Class
Rated 4.00 stars by somebody1
"There are those who suppose, based on his high speed history and fast talking demeanor, that Blurr lacks patience. Those people are wrong. He appears to be always on the move because he always has somewhere he needs to be-delivering a sensitive data packet, or a round of electro-laser fire to a Decepticon squad. When he must wait, he can do so in absolute silence and stillness for hours, until his target is centered in his crosshairs." - Back of Blurr package. While he looks like a repaint of Drift he is actually improved. The figure is fairly easy to transform compared to others in the line. The paint job is solid and the figure features an all new head sculpt and weapons including 2 pistols that are holstered inside the doors that are on his hips in robot form as well as the sniper...[See More]
Gloomy Bear (Pink) (Flocked)
Gloomy the Naughty Grizzly (Funko) - Pop! Vinyl Figures
Rated 4.00 stars by somebody1
Upon opening Hicks the first thing you notice is the stink of the plastic just like most of the older McFarlane figures. This one had a strong smell of chlorine which must be used in the manufacturing. The packaging was very easy to open for a McFarlane product as the twist ties were done just enough to keep the figure in place but not frustrate the heck out of the purchaser. This is a figure begging to be customized for any number of uses as it provides a good military character body. The best part is the M41 pulse rifle which is a fan favorite among Aliens fans. Sadly it is made of a very soft plastic, as which is normal for McFarlane, and is slightly warped. The tracking device is of very little use as there is no place on him to store it and it is so tiny that if you drop it in thick...[See More]
Skywarp
Transformers - Masterpiece (Takara) - Basic Series
Rated 4.50 stars by somebody1
Originally a Walmart exclusive it has begun to pop up all over the place, including online toy stores, as surpluses are bought up. Skywarp is basically a repaint of the MP Starscream (also a Walmart exclusive but much harder to get) with accessories missing. Where the MP starscream came with the mad scientist from an episode of the G1 cartoon he is missing in this. The figure is molded in black and purple plastic, not quite G1 accurate but looks very good, and has a very good detail paint job. The articulation is very good, still awkward to try and pose as is the norm with most mecha/robot figures. He features an alternate head that flips into place to replace the other, hidden missile pods that open on his chest, and and opening nosecone to show a realistic. The downsides to this figure...[See More]
