Green Lantern Total Justice (Kenner) - Series 1 Rated 4.00 stars by Collector1 I got this guy for Christmas back in '96 from my Grandparents, same with the Flash from the same line. I found him in a toy box a few days ago still in full armor! Of course the upper left clip was broken off on his chest plate and his arm weapon was snapped in half.
Well, Kyle stands at 4.6 inches tall with your basic articulation of swivel jointed neck, shoulders and hips. The body is molded in black or really dark green plastic, it is kind of hard to tell, with the chest painted silvery-white with Kyle's own modified Green Lantern emblem over his left breast. His boots and gauntlets are all painted green with the flesh unusually pale. This could be because of age and ware on my figure, but because I don't have a brand new one, I can't tell. The head is pretty good with a ferocious,...[See More]
Flash Total Justice (Kenner) - Series 1 Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1 Whao boy! I remember I got this guy way back when for Christmas in '96. Same year I also got the Green Lantern. Always wanted the Superman from the line. Anyway, I dug him out of the toy box a few days ago and even found a few pieces of his armor.
Total Justice Flash stands about five inches and has basic articulation with swivel joints at the shoulders, neck and hips. The body is molded in red plastic and the paint is nice and clean. The lightning bolt on his chest is a little scratched, but he is an old figure that has been lying in a toy box for some time now. The remnants of a glossy coat is still apparent.
The lightning bolts around his forearms are paint with a flat coat of yellow, the same for the intersecting bolts around his waist. I am not sure if the sharp, downward and...[See More]
Powerlinx Cyclonus with Powerlinx Crumplezone Transformers - Armada (Hasbro) - Supercon Assortment Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1 To say that Cyclonus is slightly unhinged is to say the Atlantic is damp. His basic strategy for combat is to fly directly at the target and expel every single drop of ammo he has and hope the target is dead. His near insanity and recklessness make the other Decepticon's most wary of the Helicopter Robot, especially when he gets a couple of canisters of WD-40 in him.
A redeco of the first Armada Cyclonus toy, Powerlinx Cyclonus transforms into a Cybertronian helicopter with a pretty simple transformation sequance. First, push his head down into his upper body and flip the tail section up until it clicks and holds to the upper body. Collapse the arms into themselves and push them up so that they press against the wings. Fold the legs into themselves like the arms. Finally, push the legs...[See More]
Megatron with Leader 1 Transformers - Armada (Hasbro) - Gigacon Assortment Rated 5.00 stars by Collector1 Violent, ruthless, merciless, psychopath. Calm, calculating, brilliant, ambitious. All these describe the Decepticon leader so well, yet still fail to grasp his full mind and spark. Completely aware of his own madness, Megatron uses it to his advantage in his campaign to not only dominate the machine world of Cybertron, but the rest of the Universe as well and with the power of the Minicon's, Megatron may just succeed in his insane goals.
Megatron transforms into a Cybertronian tank equipped with the standard turret, and dual firing rear missile launchers. Fitting for his lust for the power of the Minicon's power, much of this is activated by the use of multiple Minicons. Placing a Minicon on the powerlinx port on the right side of the tank's turret and moving it along the trench will...[See More]
Spawn Spawn (McFarlane) - Series 1 Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1 Betrayed and murdered by his former employer, CIA assassin Al Simmons made a deal with the powerful demon Malebolgia to return to Earth to see his wife one more time then serve in the armies of the Underworld as a lieutenant. Transported back to Earth, Al Simmons was granted a special suit made of Necroplasm that granted him incredible powers, but learned that he had in fact been returned to Earth five years after he was killed. Al, taking the name Spawn, now protects the innocent from the scum and filth of the city and all the while seeks his own redemption.
Depicting his first costume, the first wave of Spawn action figures by McFarlane delivers this in spades. The paint is smooth and clean with no bleeding or smearing. The sculpt is impeccable. The body is molded is black plastic and...[See More]

Violator Spawn (McFarlane) - Series 1 Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1 One of Al Simmons greatest enemies, Violator is a servant of Malebolgia, tasked with the guidance of new Hellspawn. Taking the disguise of The Clown, Violator only reveals his true form to wreak havoc and force the Hellspawn to drain his energies and be returned to the Underworld. Violator will make sure that Al Simmons is utterly destroyed and dragged by down to the Underworld. The eldest of the five Phlebiac Brothers, Violator is not one to be underestimated.
Part of the first wave of Spawn action figures released by McFarlane Toys, Violator is one of the tallest action figure in the line. Violator is very accurate to the comic art. The eyes are nice a insect-like and the jaw is just about the perfect length from his head. By moving the top horn on his head forward, the jaw while snap...[See More]
Grimlock Transformers - Animated (Hasbro) - Voyager Class Rated 5.00 stars by Collector1 Grimlock is a walking, talking, fire breathing engine of ultimate destruction! Luckily for the Decepticon's, he ain't to bright. Though, he is the only one to actual speak in the cartoon series so, let's give him that at least.
Grimlock transforms from a towering robot, seven inches tall from his feet to the top of the "wings" on his back, into a mighty T-Rex. Much of both modes design is in homage to the original Generation One Grimlock toy, but updated to how a T-Rex most likely walked. A gray button on the top of his Beast Modes head makes his lantern jaw go down when it is depressed to simulate Grimlock taking a chunk out of Starscream's hide. While advertised on the box, the sword does not really fit in his mouth all to well, so the fire breath effect is really lost.
The...[See More]
Starscream with Swindle Transformers - Armada (Hasbro) - Maxcon Assortment Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1 Long ago, Starscream may have been a noble, caring soul, but after centuries of abuse dealt by Megatron, Starscream has become disillusioned with his leader, now reliving that Megatron does not care for him, would throw his life away in an instant, and does not give Starscream the respect he deserves. Only time will tell whether Starscream will remain loyal to Megatron or finally lash out at the Decepticon commander. Has Megatron created a monster even can not control?
Starscream transforms into a combination of a Sukhoi Su-35 jet fighter and a Cybertronian jet fighter. Starscream is partnered with the Minicon Swindle who, when powerlinxed to his very back port, activates his flip out missile cannons which fire spring loaded missiles. This works in either Robot or Jet Mode's. His left...[See More]
Street Speed Team Transformers - Armada (Hasbro) - Mini-Con Teams Rated 4.00 stars by Collector1 The Street Speed Team feel the need! The need for speed! OW! Who threw that chair?! Er, I get you when I'm done typing. The Street Speed Team are the absolute best Minicon's when it comes to reconnaissance missions. No mech, Bulk or Minicon, can out race this highly specialized team of Minicons. The Street Speed Minicon Team is made up of Backtrack, Oval, and Spiral. This review will dedicate a sub-section of itself to each one of these Minicon's.
Backtrack is a two faced liar with an engine under his hood that would make Blurr salivate. Constantly making promises he has no intention to keep, going back on his word at the drop of a microchip, and being a completely unapologetic jerk makes him the most unpopular Minicon with both his teammates and the Autobots. Lucky for him, he is far...[See More]
