Leg identification in Identify Help by lostleg
Monday, October 22, 2018
   [Edit]
I know this may be a bit odd but I lost a toy leg and would like help finding what the leg belonged to. I attached a link to the Imgur gallery of the leg. I originally found the leg a year or 2 ago on the side of the street in eastern Pennsylvania, just the leg, no body or arm. I have brought the leg on my travels and have made an instagram account for it. I enjoy this and it is entertaining but I lost the leg on a beach. I would like to find the toy and buy one, then I would also have a back up leg, just in case one gets lost again.

This is the link to the album of the leg https://www.imgur.com/gallery/RtOaASj

Cape Swap and Glue in Custom Workstation by brewcrewfan77
Tuesday, December 4, 2018
   [Edit]
I'm sorta new to the world of customization. Have done a few transformer repaints and minor mods but right now I'm trying to do a Superman kit bash with a Rebirth head/cape and a Superfriends BUC. My problem is no matter what type of glue I try I cannot for the life of me get it to adhere to the figure. I've tried Superglue, Liquid Nail, and Model Cement. It just does not adhere to the figure? Do I need to prep the figure but sanding down the areas where I plan to put the cape? Or am I using the wrong adherence substance? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!...[See More]

I was able to find a glue that worked, but I certainly keep the baking soda method in mind in case it acts up again. Thanks!

Try using (Cyanoacrylate) Superglue and Baking Soda.

Baking Soda causes the glue to solidify instantly, and the material can be sanded, painted, etc. It's a good gap filler.

You can speed up the glue cure time by spraying a mist of water too, no baking soda needed, Gorilla Glue has some glues that even require a water spray.

Some plastics refuse to bond with superglue, for example, the bottle that contains the glue itself. If youre trying to glue platic of that kind, youre gonna have problems. ...

I've seen that trick used on windshields. Is that better than using just the glue along with a kicker, which just speeds up the process but doesn't do much to add extra strength, which I'm assuming the baking powder does? Probably also acts as a filler...

1998 Trendmasters New Line Productions Help Please in Identify Help by droidtrader
Saturday, December 1, 2018
   [Edit]
Hello, I came across this bagged figure and I can't figure out what it is. I thought maybe it was from Godzilla, but I can't find another like it. It is about 5 inches tall. The bag says, "1998 Trendmasters, Inc." And, "1998 New Line Productions, Inc.". Also, #31386. The figure's outfit has spider web-like markings on it. Any ideas? Thanks!! [Picture]...[See More]

I remember buying building block toys a long time ago, they also had the individual figures bagged like that. I wonder if the modern "generic brand GI Joe" type sets also do that

I found it - Lost in Space - Major Don West. Not sure why it's bagged though and has no helmet?

Looking for Exosquad in Trading Post by TheRubicon
Updated Saturday, October 13, 2018
   [Edit]
Hey Realmers,
I'm trying to fulfill a childhood void and want to collect Exosquad toys. I'm looking for pilot figures, e-frames, and jump troops. I'm not looking for in-the-box/sealed condition. Incomplete is fine as long as it's not too broken, etc. please send pictures of what you've got. I don't have much to trade, but i'm willing to pay money via paypal. please again note that i'm not interested in "new in the box" condition. i'm collecting these for my pleasure and some custom work.

Thanks a bunch!

Also! G.I. Joe Mechs as well or similar stuff I can kit bash with!

****Update: Also looking for discarded bits of sci-fi models and dios. Whatever can be stuffed in a box and mailed that I could use to add texture and complexity. Thanks...[See More]

VHT paint sticky on figure in Custom Workstation by Thunderstrike14
Thursday, October 18, 2018
   [Edit]
Some people on here suggested that I should use VHT flat white when painting a figure flat white to prevent the paint from showing brush Strokes but when I tried it on my Dc Universe Manhunter some of the parts came out sticky or tacky so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I'm doing wrong....[See More]

Some plastics react badly to the chemicals in spray paint, usually softer plastics.

VHT makes different types of spray paint, they also make spray dye (that's what I use), so you'll have to do some trial and error to see what the problem is.
How To Cast Rubber Coats and Capes in Custom Workstation by Juggernaut Customs
Monday, November 5, 2018
   [Edit]
I'm looking for a SAVIOR here! Can anyone find a picture tutorial, video or anything that can help me cast a coat or cape for figures. I'm looking to cast rubber coats/capes. I have what I need to cast molds. But what is a good material to actual cast with? I thought about using the rubber mold material itself, but its not paintable. I thought about silicon, but its not paintable. I thought about filling with glue and letting it dry out, or even hot glue, but I've heard that those materials shrink as moisture dries out of it. So any ideas of how i can duplicate capes and coats in a paintable rubber?

similar to marvel universe or legends coats and capes?

For example: Marvel Universe Gambit or Nick Fury coat, or Marvel Universe Dr. Doom cap...[See More]

I hope this all makes sense...

You can use EcoFlex 00-50. It's a cast you can pour into a silicone mold, like OOMOO 30.

WOW! Thank you so much for that information! I will likely be placing an order for something tonight! So the EcoFlex and Dragon Skin are all paintable? I know pigments can be used, but I like to airbrush shading in my paint jobs. If these are paintable, I'd love to get some and try it out.

Not sure if you know, but is there a short shelf life for these once opened. I've heard that some Smooth-On products, once opened, have limited shelf life. is that true in your experience? ...
Can't find it.... in Identify Help by Malonexus

   [Edit]
So, I've been trying to find this toy for years, and now I'm curious if anyone can remember this...

It was around the mid 90's (possibly) and it was this futuristic looking motorcycle with wheels that split to become a "hover bike". It came with a little action figure with non-articulate arms, although I believe the legs could bend at the knees; the figure was a black guy with a crew cut about an inch and a half tall.

I remember getting this figure/vehicle combo toy around the time the first few Transformers: Beast Wars figures were out. There were other vehicles part of the set that did very similar things (car into a plane? kind of deal).

Help me Obi Wan Kenobis of the toy world. You guys are my only hope ...[See More]
