Saturday, January 12, 2019
   [Edit]
Hello, I'm new to the community and do not have even the first clue as to begin to build a figure. I'm not really into building my own but these custom figures are where it is at. With that being said, do people sell figures here? Thanks...[See More]

I have a John Backstar with the sparking chest piece. I replaced the flint and used a zip tie for tension. Any suggestions about making a cap and adding a spring load device. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Epmf_CjUhvc...[See More]

Hi

MrMonocle ,thanks for your advice. It's too late ,I have already drill and glue it.
But I got a problem with the broken leg joint.
Here shows the disassemble body. https://www.flickr.com/photos/166323904 ... 0732430284

Could someone teach me how to repair it. Thank you very much!

Action Figure Comic/Photonovel posting question. in Figure Realm Comments and Questions by ClanElderPredator
Wednesday, January 2, 2019
   [Edit]
Would it be possible to post/publish a full fledged Action Figure Comic/Photonovel somewhere on this website? I imagine Got Plot would be perfect, but an episode generally has 40-60 frames/pictures with dialogue, etc. Would there be any possible way to make that work here? Because it seems like got plot is limited to one photo per post....[See More]

You could post it as a comic strip. The limit is 20 pictures per comic though.

So, my wife passed away at the beginning of the month after a haymaker swing at cancer. So now I find myself alone, sitting at my craft table swapping parts with no real passion anymore. During her treatment, I thought I could use this hobby for a few hours of personal time, some stress management. But, she needed a lot of care, and I'm glad I spent the time with her. We didn't know how fast she was going to decline, so I got the precious few moments with her instead of escapism. I miss her, my home is empty, yet I still can't focus enough to do more than some boil -and-pop swapping. I hate everything, nothing looks right. I miss her.

I have some ideas, I need some parts: The recent GI Joes with the better articulations and proportions, Marvel infinite/universe 3.75-4" figs, hair, heads, ...
New here with a question on mixing Marvel/DC figures in Action Figure Chatter by KabutoRyder
Thursday, December 20, 2018
   [Edit]
New to the site and forum, seeing so many great customs, its making me want to try lots more. But I have to not put that cart before the horse and finish my current one, Warpath, my first one. Well I started working on a Deathstroke last night.

But I digress.

My question is on mixing Marvel and DC figures. I just like Legends better for bodies, articulation, but there are some pieces, heads mostly, some hands and boots on DC figures I fancy and my question was if they mix very well. I have tried to google and youtube things to see if people had answered that question, but had not found a concrete answer.

Can it be done on a straight one to one swap or will work need to be done, not sure of the innards of a DC figure and how much they r...[See More]

If you need to put a peg into a hole that's too big, try stuffing the hole or wrapping the peg with some plastic wrap. Quick cheap way to make stuff fit.

Most of the time the heads need to bored out a bit with a drill or a dremel. Or the marvel neck " ball " piece needs to be cut down to fit inside the smaller. ( if that makes sense )

If you want to try a different approach..... I buy a two part silicon molding kit at the art supply store. Mixing part "a" with part "b" it makes a putty that I then spread over the figures head wait for it to cure and now have a molding of what ever head then fill it with sculpting clay then put the neck joint from the new figures body in to the clay . takes little practice but can be very cost effetive down the road.
Best of luck !!!!! and Happy Holidays !!!!

That's been my experience as well, heads from DC figures have smaller holes which won't fit the ML necks without modification. As for hands, it's probably hit or miss as far as a straight swap, you'd probably have to either file down or build up the peg on the DC hands to fit the particular Legends arms you're using if it doesn't work.
Selling EVERYTHING in Trading Post by yellowmartian

   [Edit]
So, I need to simplify my life. My collection has gotten way too big and I need to purge like 99% of all of it. I have Marvel Legends and DC Universe Classics for sale. I'd rather just sell the whole thing in one whack, but if I have to, I'll do individual lots. Message me if you're interested in anything. I can provide pics too at your request. Thanks....[See More]

How am I gonna snag the new X-men wave? in Action Figure Chatter by RedRobinCustoms
Monday, June 20, 2016
   [Edit]
I assume that Ice-man, Kitty Pryde, and Havoc are going to be the easiest to snag, maybe pheonix too. But seeing how Deadpool, Wolverine, Cable and Rogue are sold out on every site, and Deadpool has already hit $89.99 on ebay, I'm starting to lose hope. My fiance and my roommate both work overnight at a Wal-Mart, and are pretty good at spotting the figures and snagging them, said they will keep there eyes open. However, like I said they seem to be going before they even touch the shelves. I doubt hasbro learned from the last time they released a deadpool, and a wolverine and produced enough of them to be distributed....[See More]
