About the vehicle:

The Tyco GI Joe Electric Trucking set featured multiple vehicles, including a Jeep. Here, for a bit of an update and fusion with Eco-Warriors, the Willys-style Jeep is replaced by a trimmer Jeep-esque scout car.

The base vehicle was originally included as a moon buggy with the Brooklyn Lollipops Space Exploration Set. The body and panel work on it is a nice match for Hasbro’s later vehicles.

Its crew will include driver Flash and team leader Airtight.

Colors & Paint:

Olive drab, with a black wash, plus fantastic ToyHax decals to spruce it up. Keeping it green is more grounded that the bright colors of the Eco-Striker, which this vehicle is displacing. There was only one small spot big enough to put a GI Joe logo, so it ended up being a later one from the ARAH line instead of the better early one.

Sculpting & Modifying:

The overhead laser rationalizes Flash as part of the crew. It’s made from combining a Playmobil head underneath a ROC silly launcher. It also balances this vehicle out against the Cobra Jeep, which had an overhead weapon made from another ROC silly launcher.

As sheet of plastic has been added to the bottom, with otherwise had a Flintstones feet design.
