The original Sentinel prototype and the creator of all other Sentinel robots, Master Mold was created to protect humanity from mutants. But when it decided that humans and mutants both posed a threat to the world, Master Mold went rogue and created its own vision of the world. Determined to control all humans and destroy all mutants, Master Mold began to create the mutant-hunting Sentinels which have plagued mutantkind and the X-Men ever since.
