Believing he is the prophesized conqueror of the undersea world, due to his super-human strength, the depth-dwelling Attuma has dedicated his life trying to overthrow the peaceful empire on the lost continent of Atlantis. Although he has come close on many occasions to realizing his twisted sceme, launching numerous attacks against the city and its prince Namor, The Sub-Mariner, Attuma has never been able to claim a lasting victory over Atlantis, thanks to Namor and his powerful allies, The Fantastic Four.
