This figure is based on Spider-Man's appearance in the 2012 feature film "The Amazing Spider-Man," starring Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man himself and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy. It does not include any accessories, but the figure has thirty points of articulation, as advertised. It is a completely new Spider-Man mold, and is accurate to the design of Spider-Man's costume in the new movie. It is the most articulated figure in the 3.75 Inch Amazing Spider-Man Line.

In the film "The Amazing Spider-Man," Andrew Garfield plays Peter Parker, an orphaned teenager with an interest in science. His powers are derived from the bite of a genetically modified spider who climbs onto his neck while he is in a room full of the substance that would eventually become his webbing. His love interest Gwen Stacy is played by Emma Stone, and he battles the Lizard (Rhys Ifans).
